Castanea

During my final year in college, we were tasked with finding a placement that we thought would help further our understanding of the field that we wanted to eventually end up in. I have always been interested in fashion photography, so when the opportunity arose to become an intern to one of Ireland’s up-and-coming top brands Castanea.ie, I had to jump on it. Working with Paula Marron, who has been, “referred to as a ‘rising Irish cashmere queen’ by the Irish Times, was an incredible experience. I got hands-on experience with the Adobe Suite in a fast-paced business environment, Paula showed me the behind-the-scenes of setting up clothes for shooting as well as what’s expected of a modern brand going forward. The huge responsibility she showed for ethically sourced materials as well as the time and effort that each one of her pieces goes through was an extremely enthralling experience. Working with her brand was an amazing experience and I look forward to seeing what she comes out with next season!
